"A DAY OF WONDER: EXPLORING KUTHIRAMALIKA AND VELI BEACH PARK"
"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." - Saint Augustine
As part of our B.Ed curriculum, our college, KUCTE Thevally, organized an art visit to Kuthiramalika and Kovalam Beach on 28th November 2024. Our one-day trip was an enriching experience that allowed us to explore the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Thiruvananthapuram.
We departed from our college at 7:00 am, eager to start our journey. The excitement was palpable, and we made the most of our bus ride by dancing and singing together, making the journey even more enjoyable.
Our first stop was Kuthiramalika Palace and art gallery, chithralayam museum a magnificent example of traditional Kerala architecture. As we walked through the palace, we were struck by the intricate carvings, beautiful murals, and stunning woodwork. The palace was a treasure trove of art and history, and we spent hours exploring its every nook and cranny.
After lunch, we headed to Veli Beach Park, one of the most popular tourist spot in Kerala. Unfortunately, the beach area was temporarily closed, but we still managed to spend some quality time in the park, taking in the scenic views and enjoying the cool breeze.
As we returned to our college at 6:30 pm, we were all filled with a sense of wonder and awe. Our art visit had been a resounding success, and we had gained valuable insights into the art, culture, and natural beauty of Kerala.
This trip was not just a fun outing; it was also an educational experience that helped us appreciate the importance of art and culture in our lives. As future teachers, we recognize the value of such experiences in shaping our students' perspectives and broadening their horizons.
