BUILDING RESILIENCE: WORKSHOP ON STRESS MANAGEMENT- CAPACITY BUILDING WORK

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - C.S. Lewis

As part of our B.Ed curriculum, we had the privilege of attending a Capacity Building Programme on January 6, 2025. This semester's programme focused on a highly relevant topic: Stress Management. Our faculty of Psychology, Sinimol Miss, led the workshop, sharing her expertise and guiding us through a engaging and informative session.

The workshop began with an overview of stress, its causes, types, symptoms, and preventive measures. Sinimol Miss explained the concept of stress in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for us to understand. She also shared various examples and case studies to illustrate the impact of stress on our mental and physical well-being.

What made the workshop truly effective was the interactive and participatory approach. We practiced various stress-management techniques, such as laughing exercises, breathing exercises, and relaxation methods. These activities not only helped us understand the concepts better but also provided us with practical tools to manage stress in our daily lives.

As a participant, I found the workshop to be highly beneficial. I gained a deeper understanding of stress and its effects, and I learned valuable techniques to manage stress. The workshop was also a great opportunity to bond with my classmates and share our experiences.

Overall, the Capacity Building Programme on Stress Management was a resounding success. I am grateful to Sinimol Miss for sharing her expertise and to our institution for providing us with such valuable learning opportunities.
