"CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF INDIA: MARTYRS' DAY AND REPUBLIC DAY AT KUCTE KOLLAM"
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
On January 30, 2025, KUCTE Kollam celebrated Martyrs' Day and Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. As a B.Ed student and an aspiring teacher, I felt honored to be a part of this celebration.
The program began with a prayer, followed by an intro dance performance, which I was proud to be a part of. Our principal then addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the day and the importance of remembering our martyrs.
I had the privilege of delivering a speech about Gandhiji in Malayalam, highlighting his contributions to our nation's freedom struggle. The program also featured a solo song by Athulya, a tableau, and a Hindi speech by Karthika.
One of the highlights of the program was the fancy dress show, where students dressed up in traditional attire from different states, representing their respective optional subjects. I had the opportunity to coordinate this event, and it was amazing to see the creativity and enthusiasm of my fellow students.
The program also included patriotic songs by maths department, a song by Rajeev uncle, and a fusion dance performance.
As a B.Ed student, this experience has taught me the importance of instilling patriotism and national pride in our students. It has also shown me the value of teamwork and coordination in organizing events.
Overall, the Martyrs' Day and Republic Day celebrations at KUCTE Kollam were a resounding success, and I feel grateful to have been a part of it.
