CELEBRATING WOMANHOOD: SHE RISES AT OUR B.ED COLLEGE
"The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me." - Ayn Rand
On March 13, 2025, our B.Ed college witnessed a vibrant celebration of International Women's Day, aptly titled "SHE RISE" with the motto "She leads and she conquers." Organized by the Titiksha Union, the event was inaugurated by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Lethadevi Amma Teacher.
The program showcased the talents of all 55 students of our 1st-year B.Ed class, who participated in various events, including:
- Creative Fashion Show: designing dresses using newspapers
- One-Minute Talk: impromptu speeches on funny, simple topics
- Saree Walk: draping sarees in different styles and walking the ramp
- Theme Dance: performances on women empowerment
- Women Characters: replicating famous female characters from movies
- Tableau: depicting different roles of women
I was thrilled to be a part of the Saree Walk program, where I performed my part confidently. What made it even more special was that our Chairman, Aparna, draped all 20 of us in different styles, showcasing her creativity and flair.
As a coordinator for my optional group, I was involved in organizing events like Creative Dress and Women Characters. Our group presented three iconic characters from Malayalam movies, namely Nirupama Rajeev, Sameera, and Sara Muhammad, which received applause from the audience.
One of the highlights of the event was the Creative Fashion Show, where our team won the second prize for designing a stunning paper dress. It was a testament to our collective effort and creativity.
Overall, SHE RISE was a resounding success, celebrating the spirit of womanhood and empowering us to be confident, courageous, and compassionate individuals.
