"EMBRACING SUSTAINABILITY: KUCTE THEVALLY CELEBRATES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY"
*"The Earth has enough resources for our need, but not enough for our greed." - Mahatma Gandhi*
On June 5th, KUCTE Thevally came together to celebrate World Environment Day, with the NSS unit and Natural Science Association Vitalyx at the forefront of the event. The day was filled with activities that highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
The program kicked off with a thought-provoking speech on the current state of our planet and the need for collective action to protect it. This was followed by a poem that touched hearts and minds, emphasizing the beauty and fragility of our environment.
The creative spirit of the students shone through in the various competitions held throughout the day. The "Plastic to Useful Product" competition saw students transforming discarded plastic into innovative and practical items, showcasing the potential for waste reduction and creative reuse. The poster making competition and quiz also drew a lot of participation, testing knowledge and creativity on environmental issues.
One of the highlights of the event was the setup of a medicinal plant garden, which not only added a touch of greenery to the campus but also underscored the importance of preserving traditional knowledge and biodiversity.
As a participant, I was amazed by the enthusiasm and commitment of my fellow students towards environmental conservation. The event was a great learning experience, and it was inspiring to see everyone come together for a common cause.
I was thrilled to be a part of this event, and I must say, it was an eye-opener. Seeing the creativity and passion of my peers towards environmental conservation was truly motivating. The competitions and activities made me realize the impact of our daily actions on the planet and the importance of making conscious choices to reduce our ecological footprint.
